Jon's Evo VI
These cars are maniacs, they are absolutely unbelievable. 0-60 in 4.4 secs, 4 wheel drive, 2 litre, 16 valve turbo charged monsters. There are so many tricks the Lancer is untouchable.
The active YAW control is phenomenal. This is where when the car senses a wheel losing traction the power is shifted to the other wheels. I could feel this on the test drive as the car started to drift over damp leaves and immediately gripped and corrected itself.
With the Renault the power is furious and mental, with the evo it is progressively gradual ( and viscous ). In the Renault you know you are doing a ton because you can hear the road noise and the car feels slightly unstable. The Evo is so well build, you are just sailing along and when you look at the Speedo its reading 100+ !!!
